Thanks to a suggestion from Debal at our last batch
reunion on 26.01,2010, it was decided to celebrated
our 50th Anniversary in style by holding a weekend
get-together.

With a lot of background work done by Siddhartha it
now seems a reality. The emerging details
are as follows.


2011 JANUARY

Day 1 Sat 22
8 AM Leave Kolkata by Chartered bus.
Boarding point to be decided. 3-hour journey.
Breakfast and Adda on board.

12 Noon Reach Shantiniketan Tourist Lodge
Lunch, Sight seeing, Adda, Dinner


Day 2 Sun 23
Breakfast, Site seeing, Lunch, Adda, Site seeing,
Annual Meeting, Dinner.


Day 3 Mon 24
8 AM Leave Shantiniketan
12 Noon Reach Kolkata


BUS
Siddhartha will book a suitable bus for us depending
on the number of attendees. It will stay with us and
take us around tourist spots at Shantiniketan.

There are 12 Non AC large double bed rooms and
9 smaller Non AC bed rooms spread over all the 3 floors
which have been block booked.
With single and double rooms and extra beds a
maximum of 44 persons can be accommodated.

There are also AC Rooms for which you will have to
pay your own charges.

COST
Otherwise we would be using our accumulated club funds
for the entire travel expenses, hotel charges and
basic meal charges.

Siddhartha reminds us this does NOT include "BEVERAGE"
charges which you would have to bear yourself.

NOTES
Shantiniketan would be cool in January.
Pack some light woollens.
It is likely to be crowded in January with
Rabaindranath's 150th Birthday celebrations underway.
