The Sarbadhikari Family- Introduction Ours is a single family
in the world whose recorded genealogy goes back
to more than 1000 years. We are now on to
our 31st generation.

People in ancient India were
divided into four castes or social groups:

The
Brahmins were of the highest priestly caste.

The Kshatriyas were the warriors
and ruled the kingdoms.

The
Kyasthas were the professional and business groups.
-
The Shudras
were the manual workers.
The
Kyasthas of Bengal were further divided into subgroups of
Ghosh, Bose,
Mitra, Datta and Majumdar.
The
Sarbadhikaris are derived from Bosu
(aka ~ Bose, Basu).
The first recorded Bosu was
Dasharath c.920 (Generation
01).
The first recorded Sarbadhikari is
Sureshwar
c.1355 (Generation 12).
