_____ART OF LIVING______________________________________

HAVE FAITH IN YOURSELF
Stop and ask yourself today, "How do I really feel about myself?"
Before you answer read these ten principles. Better yet, keep
them before you daily.

(1) Never think or speak negatively about yourself;
that puts you in disagreement with God.

(2) Meditate on your God-given strengths and learn
to encourage yourself, for much of the time nobody else will.

(3) Don't compare yourself to anybody else. You're unique,
one of a kind, an original. So don't settle for being a copy.

(4) Focus on your potential, not your limitations.
Remember, God lives in you!

(5) Find what you like to do, do well, and strive
to do it with excellence.

(6) Have the courage to be different.
Be a God pleaser, not a people pleaser.

(7) Learn to handle criticism. Let it develop you
instead of discourage you.

(8) Determine your own worth instead of letting others do it
for you. They'll shortchange you!

(9) Keep your shortcomings in perspective - you're
still a work in progress....

(10) Focus daily on your greatest source of
confidence - the God Who lives in you.

_____BANTER____________________________________________

LET'S FACE IT - ENGLISH IS A CRAZY LANGUAGE.
There is no egg in eggplant, nor ham in hamburger; neither apple
nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren't invented in England
or French fries in France. Sweetmeats are candies while
sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat.
We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we
find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square
and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

CUTE CAT
Cool Black Cat with Green Eyes. Go to this site (link below) to
see something awesome! I have no clue how they got this to work.
If you tease her with the mouse pointer on her chest or stomach
she will purr, I got her to meow also, by rubbing her forehead with
the pointer. If you make a slow circle around her body,
(counter-clockwise) not only will her head/eyes follow your pointer,
but toward the top, her paw will go up, and when in front of her
paws at the bottom, her foot comes out like she wants to play.

GO NUTS - THEY ARE GOOD FOR YOU
Rhythma Kaul

ONCE SHUNNED for being packed with fat and calories, nuts are
back on healthy menus across the world. With nutritionists
celebrating the health benefits of mono -and poly-unsaturated fats
found in most nuts, people are now being told to eat nuts not just
to lose weight, but also to keep it off.

Research over the last 15 years strongly suggests that everyone's
diet should include nuts, even though 30 gm (roughly 1/4 cup) of
unroasted nuts provides 157 to 204 calories and 13 to 22 gm of
fat. Adding two almonds servings (50 gm) a day to your diet has
no effect on body weight, reported the British Journal of Nutrition.

Along with the heart-protecting benefits of almonds, walnuts and
peanuts, pistachios are now being studied for their, health benefits
on the Indian population. It has proven heart-protective benefits
on populations across the world, with studies in the US showing it
is a healthy snacking option despite high calories because of its
high fibre and good fat content.

Like other nuts, pistachio brings with it the benefit of its high good
cholesterol (high density lipoprotein or HDL) and low bad cholesterol
(LDL) content, which makes it a healthy replacement for
artery-clogging snacks such as pakoras and namkeens.

It's not just the heart protective benefits of pistachio that will be
studied, but also its impact on weight loss and glucose control
in people at the risk of diabetes.

A Harvard study had found that people lost more weight on a
moderate-fat nut diet than on a low-fat diet. Nuts help people
stick to diets better than fat-free foods because they are high in
fibre, which provides a feeling of satiety and discourages snacking.

The mono-unsaturated fat in nuts, like the fat in olive oil, helps
lower bad cholesterol without affecting the levels of
heart-protecting good cholesterol. It also reduces C-reactive
protein levels that are linked with inflammation and increased
risk of heart disease.

The more nuts you eat — up to half a cup a day — the greater
is the drop in the bad cholesterol level.
So, go nuts as soon as you can!

THE CEO IN ACTION

A large company, feeling it was time for a shakeup, hired a new CEO.
The new boss was determined to rid the company of all slackers.
On a tour of the facilities, he noticed a guy leaning on a wall.

The room was full of workers and he wanted to let them know that
he meant business. He walked up to the guy leaning against the wall
and asked, "How much money do you make a week?"

A little surprised, the young man looked at him and replied,
"I make $400 a week. Why?"

The CEO then handed the guy $1,600 in cash and screamed,
"Here's four weeks' pay. Now GET OUT and don't come back."

Feeling pretty good about himself the CEO looked around the room
and asked, "Does anyone want to tell me what that goof-ball
did around here?"

From across the room came a voice,
"Pizza delivery guy from Domino's."

_____TIME______________________________________________

SYSTEMATIZE AND SIMPLIFY

A lot of time is wasted each day because we do not have simple
systems in place for repetitive tasks. Most people can save
at least an hour a day, 5 hours per week, and 250 hours per year
(that’s like re-capturing six work-weeks over the next year) by
systematizing and simplifying what they do.

For example, using a single tool to manage our time (the average
person uses 13), working in an organized, uncluttered work area,
maintaining our contacts list, and scheduling regular maintenance
for ourselves are some of the simple habits we can create to
buy us more time every day.
- Dr. Donald E. Wetmore

_____WHY_____________________________________________

*Why do most people put more effort into their wedding
than their actual marriage?
*Why do dogs walk around in circles before lying down?
*Do stuttering people stutter when they're thinking to
themselves?
*Why does a round pizza come in a square box?
*Why is it when we duck, they call us chicken?

LOVE IS………
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of
4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone
could have imagined.

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and
paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all
the time, even when his hands got arthritis too.
That's love." ---------Rebecca- age 8

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.
You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."
-------Billy - age 4

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on
shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."
--------Karl - age 5

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of
your French fries without making them give you any of theirs."
--------Chrissy - age 6

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."
--------Terri - age 4
